Milano de Flore (x Carthago) and rider Ricardo Dircie has started the jumping season having participated in all the top category events thus far.  Courses included 1.45 meter and 1.50 meter events where they successfully managed to classify and prize in all events they have participated.

Horse and rider are now looking forward to the international ‘Sol de Mayo’ events to take place on May 20th – 23rd (the week of the auction).

New Horse Championships

The IX New Horse Championships organized by the Argentine Equestrian Federation and the Argentina Breeding Association started this past month with the first of a series of 11 events throughout the year.

In the SERIES I, there were a total of 11 Tatabra’s, including 7 offspring of Milano de Flore (x Carthago), 3 of Dimitil de Terlong (x Narcos II) and 1 by Tatabra Luftballon (x Cor D’Alme II Z).  The performance was very satisfying, completing the event with only 3 faults.

3 Tatabra’s participated in the SERIES II event, including 2 offspring by Dimitil de Terlong who cleared the event flawlessly.  The stud’s stallion Quitender (x Quidam’s Rubin) also participated in this event after having very successfully reached the finals of SERIES I in 2009.  Quitender took right off where he left in 2009, clearing all VALLAS.

Sporting news from around the world

Trading Places (Tatabra Krimi – x Dimitil de Terlong) continues to succeed, having won the 1.40 mtr ‘Aiken Spring Classic’ on April 21st.

French Twist (Tatabra Laika - x Dimitil de Terlong) had a great weekend at the ‘SCHJA Benefit’ in South Carolina having won several U-14 and other events.

A recent visit to Colombia allowed us the opportunity to get a first-hand look at the success of Tatabra products in that part of the world.  Among others, we were able to see Tatabra Max (x Dimitil de Terlong) ridden by Diego Vallejo and Tatabra Overland (x Greenjinsky)) ridden by Fernando Gomez Prada.  We also had the opportunity to personally congratulate Eduardo Muñoz who, together with Tatabra Libertino (maternal brother of Tatabra Soho – lot 2 at the upcoming auction), successfully participated at the dressage events of the South American games 2010 and secured an individual bronze medal and the lead the Colombian team for the team Gold medal.
