Save the date!  11th Annual Sport Horse Auction May 22nd

 Calendar

We would like to take this opportunity to invite you to our 11th Auction Sale of Sport Horses to take place on Saturday May 22nd 2010.

The line-up includes several offspring of Milano de Flore, our grey stallion who successfully competes at the highest show jumping levels. There are also offspring of Voltaire, Concorde, Imago Mail, Alligator Fontaine and Dimitil de Terlong among others.

As has been the case in previous years, the horses will arrive at the Club Hipico Argentino on the Tuesday prior to the auction. Free-jumping and rideability demonstrations are scheduled for Wednesday (May 19th) and Thursday (May 20th).  Prior to that week and upon request, we are glad to schedule visits to stud to see the horses.

We look forward to seeing you in May!

Milano de Flore closes the year in style!

Milano de Flore has closed his first year of competition in the top category of show jumping in style.

Competing at the National Championships – a competition over 3 days and 5 events – Milano de Flore finished in 5th place overall (top debuting horse) and secured a 2nd place in the Sunday Grand Prix.

We congratulate Milano de Flore and rider Ricky Dircie for a fantastic season that has proven the potential of the stallion.

Quitender:  a star in the making!

The stud’s new stallion – Quitender (Quidam’s Rubin x Contender) – finished his first year of competition by classifying for the final event of the Young Horse Championship.  This championship evolves over eleven events where only those horses that have secured nine finishes with no faults classify for a final event that takes place over 2 days covering 3 events.

Quitender reached the finals and managed to clear the 3 events in the finals with no faults.  An exciting runoff was the highlight of the finals, where Quitender performed wonderfully, sprinting to the final jump with no faults and just barely knocking the final jump.

It has been a great first year for the young stallion imported from Germany – who competed against a field of 140 horses and where most of them are 6 months older (15%) due to the variance in breeding seasons between the Northern Hemisphere and the Southern Hemisphere.

Congratulations to Quitender and rider Fabian Sejanes!
