WELCOMING THE 'CLASS OF 2013'

As spring – slowly – rolls into the Southern hemisphere, we see the start of the foaling season.  It is always a very special time at the stud, full of excitement and keeping many of us awake throughout nights as we monitor all births.

Thus far, we have 10 foals on the ground.  This year, we will see the first full generation of the stud’s new stallion – Quitender (Quidam’s Rubin x Contender).  Genetics for this year include: Quitender, Milano de Flore, For Pleasure, Indoctro, Voltaire, Concord, Alligator Fontaine, Dimitil de Terlong, Tatabra Luftballon, Baloubet de Rouet, Fergar Mail and Burgraaf among others.

The foals being born this year, will be part of our annual auction in 2013 – which seems far away, but we all know that “time flies”!

 A VERY SPECIAL FILLY

The second week of September we welcomed a very special filly:  A daughter of Quitender with  a mare by Milano de Flore x Dimitil de Terlong.   The filly carries the responsibility of truly representing the stud’s genetics over the past years, combining all stallions that have been an important part of the stud.

Following tradition, we will not name her until the last foal is born, but we take this opportunity to invite you to submit any good ideas – keep in mind that all horses born this year must have the name start with the letter “V”.

Suggestions can be submitted HERE.

MILANO DE FLORE - UNPRECEDENTED WINNING STREAK!

During the course of the year we have shared with you on Milano de Flore’s successful debut in the top category of show jumping in Argentina.  With the ride of Ricky Dircie, the stallion has proven his quality by consistently earning top ten finishes in all the events – and this is his debut year!

The past two months have been just as impressive, and results have included:

-          6th place finish at Club Hipico Argentino

-          3rd place finish at the Club Hipico Aleman

-          5th place finish at the Rosario Grand Prix

This past weekend, Ricky Dircie and Milano de Flore managed to secure the first prize award at the Grand Prix Federacion Ecuestre.  Ricky rode Milano to a faultless first round, which lead him to a jump off between 6 other horses.  In the jump off, Milano de Flore managed to avoid all faults and with a sprint in the last jump, managed to clock a time that was impossible for all other horses to beat.

Congratulations to Milano and Ricky on an incredible streak and on their first place finish!
