Spring and foaling

A few days before the official arrival of spring, the foaling season started as we welcomed the first 3 foals of the season.

The foals on the ground include the following pedigrees:

Quitender x Alligator Fontaine

Dimitil de Terlong x Tatabra Legitimo

Milano de Flore x Tatabra Legitimo

Two of the dams were National Grand Champions and Grand Prix participants.  One of foals is a full brother of Casanova (formerly Tatabra Nimrod) ridden by Alex Fedai in Ohio and half brother of Tatabra Pincua – winner of the Young Horse Championship 2008.

Young Horse Championship

As the Young Horse Championship is well underway, the Tatabras are fulfilling expectations and making us proud.  All the participants in the Five-Year-Old championship were sold in the 2009 auction.

With a total of 5 shows thus far, 4 Tatabras have had clear rounds – including Tatabra Rock n’ Roll (x Milano de Flore), Tatabra Syrah (x Milano de Flore), Tatabra Rainbow (x Milano de Flore) and Tatabra Renoir (x Dimitil de Terlong).  5 other Tatabras have 4 clear rounds.

With a total of 7 clear rounds required to classify for the finals, the Tatabras are well on their way to reach the final competition.

News from the U.S.

We have recently been updated as to some exciting news from Tatabras in the U.S.

Napoleon (formerly Tatabra Seneca x Milano de Flore – sold in our 2010 auction) ridden by Daniel Geitner did an outstanding job in his first classes including a reserve champion finish.  It is worth highlighting that the horse is turning four arrived in the U.S. in June this year.
